Epilepsy & Driving

Being able to drive is a big deal for all teenagers. But for teens with epilepsy, knowing whether or not their epilepsy will stop them from getting a driver’s license makes it an even bigger deal. The truth is, a teen that is still having seizures cannot get a license. But a teen that is seizure-free for a certain length of time may be able to get a license and drive. Each state has its own rules. The requirements to drive legally vary from three months to one year. To find out more, visit our state-by-state listing of driving laws.
